Resumo: This paper presents a comparative analysis of the factors that are considered critical to the continuous improvement methodology World Class Manufacturing and the implementation in a manufacturing factory. Fourteen factors were considered fundamental to the success, according the subject researchers. Those factors were synthetized and analyzed within the company context, to understand the relation between them, the importance and the result in the implementation at the case study. The implementation at the company accomplished 13 from the 14 criteria, in a partial or complete way, the key performance indicators analyzed to determinate the success of the implementation indicate an improvement in the general performance of the company, in terms of cost and productivity, mostly. The case study presented a 15th important factor to a successful implementation of the methodology, which was not featured in any of the analyzed papers. A new success criterion, based at the case study analysis was suggested, resulting in a 15-factor model considered critical to the success implementation of World Class Manufacturing.
