The objective of the present study was to identify possibilities for the development of a municipal garden in a primary school, located in the city of Selbach - RS. The research took place in two stages. In the first, an exploratory and qualitative methodology was used, and two studies were found, one in the development of the municipal garden of Pelotas-RS, in 2008 and published in 2013, and another with bias of the benefits of the garden in the social aspect in the municipality of Faxinal do Soturno - RS, published in 2012. Information was extracted such as: the purpose of the study; methodology; sample; main result and impact; suggestions or recommendations; making it possible to understand the elements that identified knowing the diffusion of the idea in scheduling the vegetable garden in the municipality of Selbach - RS. In the second stage, through conversations with the members of the school (if there were any projects involving gardening, what difficulties were encountered in teaching and also with regard to space and the environment and their ecological relations). After the annotations, an analysis of the information was carried out and a synthesis was given regarding the development of a garden in the municipal school, through the 20 elements that environmental education programs provide in terms of work generation and the diffusion of knowledge, created by Escrivão and Nagano (2011). As a result, through environmental education practices, information has been found that allows external actors to organize themselves in search of actions that make the garden feasible through proposals that focus on numerous applied knowledge, shared through the curriculum and which prioritize sustainable agroecological education. There is also an improvement in the teaching practices, where it shows a new profile of school education, in the transformation and formation of teachers with a high level of preparation, with discussion and exchange of experience and updating, between educators and students. |
