Having proposed it, the objective of this study was to evaluate the relative competitive ability of common bean cultivars with raccoon soybean by means of a substitute series arrangement. The experiment was conducted in an open place on the rural property of Mr. Ademir Julio in the municipality of Nova Esperança do Sudoeste -Paraná, in 2018. The experiment was carried out in a substitute series to test the competition of "raccoon" soy bean cv. TMG 7062 and cv. Bean (BRS Estilo e IPR Uirapuru) in five different population proportions (0%-100%, 25%-75%, 50%-50%, 75%-25%, 100%-0%), forbeans–soybean, respectively. Plastic vessels with a capacity of ten liters were used for the test in DIC. A previous germination test was performed using trays with sand to determine uniform germination. The variables studied were plant height (cm), leaf number and shoot dry mass (MSPA). The variables were submitted to the method of graphic analysis of relative productivity , through the construction of a diagram based on relative productivity (PR) and total relative productivity (PRT) in the different proportions of plants of the crop and weed, and subsequently calculated the indices relative competitiveness (CR),relative grouping coefficient (K) and aggressiveness (A), and submitted to dunnett test (α=0.05) for comparison of means. From the results, it was verified that the rew as competition between the crop and the weed, generating more significant losses for dry mass, and in as maller proportion for height and number of leaves, for both bean cul-tivars evaluated. Further more, the presence of intraspecific competition was observed instead of interspecific competition. It was noticed that the carioca beans presented better development in the presence of soybean, afact that did not occur with blackbeans. It is concluded from the work that there was competition between the bean cultivars evaluated with the presence of' 'guaxsoy'', causing losses for the culture of interest evaluated as seen from the variables analyzed. A habilidade de uma planta para competir com outra se relaciona a fatores como espécie, população, época de emergência e características morfofisiológicas. A soja pode ser vista como planta daninha quando surge voluntariamente em locais a partir de grãos perdidos na colheita, tornando-se uma planta de potencial competitivo, podendo ocasionar perdas na cultura principal. Tendo o proposto, objetivou-se com o presente trabalho avaliar a habilidade competitiva relativa de cultivares de feijão comum com soja guaxa por meio de arranjo em série substitutiva. O experimento foi conduzido em local aberto na propriedade rural do Sr. Ademir Julio no município de Nova Esperança do Sudoeste - Paraná, em 2018. O experimento foi realizado, em série substitutiva, visando testar a competição de soja “guaxa” cultivar TMG 7062 e de cultivares de feijão (BRS Estilo e IPR Uirapuru), em cinco diferentes proporções populacionais (0%-100%, 25%-75%, 50%-50%, 75%-25%, 100%-0%), para feijão – soja respectivamente. Para o ensaio utilizou-se vasos plásticos com capacidade de dez litro sem delineamento inteiramente casualizado. Foi realizado teste prévio de germinação utilizando-se bandejas com areia para determinar a germinação uniforme. As variáveis estudadas foram altura de plantas (cm), número de folha e massa seca da parte aérea (MSPA). As variáveis foram submetidas ao método da análise gráfica da produtividade relativa, através da construção de um diagrama com base na produtividade relativa (PR) e a produtividade relativa total (PRT) nas diferentes proporções de plantas da cultura e da planta daninha, e posteriormente calculados os índices competitividade relativa (CR), coeficiente de agrupamento relativo (K) e agressividade (A), e submetidos ao teste de Dunnett (α=0,05) para comparação de médias. A partir dos resultados, foi verificado que houve competição entre a cultura e a planta daninha, gerando prejuízos mais significativos para massa da matéria seca e em menor proporção para altura e número de folhas, para ambas as cultivares de feijão avaliadas. Ainda, foi observado a presença da competição intraespecífica ao invés da interespecífica. Notou-se que o feijão carioca, apresentou melhor desenvolvimento na presença da soja, fato esse não ocorrido com o feijão preto.
