Common Bean are an extremely important crop, both economically and nutritionally for the Brazilian population, since it is a rich source of protein consumed daily by approximately 70% of Brazilians, thus Brazil stands out as one of the largest consumers and producers of common bean. The state of Paraná participates nationally with 21.67% of the production of Phaseolus vulgarisL. This work has as main objective to evaluate 17 different cultivars of commercial beans in the southwest region of Paraná, more precisely in the region of Dois Vizinhos - PR estimate the yield of the cultivars tested, evaluate the yield components, number of pods per plant (NPP), weight of one thousand grains (P1000G), height of insertion of the first pod (AIV) and height of the last pod in the cultivars analyzed. The implementation of the work was done in an area granted by the Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná (UTFPR), in an field area. The sowing was performed in the 2018/2019 crop in September, through a randomized block design, with 3 repetitions. Analysis (ANOVA) was performed and comparison of means by Scott Knott's test at 5% probability of error. Each experimental unit consisted of 2 lines with 0.45m spacing and 4m in length. The harvesting was done manually in order to reduce the risk of mixtures between cultivars and losses of material. The cultivars used were: Expedito, Quero-quero, ANFC COMP-02, Pérola, Uirapuru, IPR Tangará, Bola Cheia, ANFP-110, Dama, ANFC-09, Esteio,IPR Nhambu, Bentevi, ANFP Comp 25, IAPAR 40, ANFC 05, Campos Gerais. The results obtained were that the cultivars with the highest yield were IPR Nhambu and Campos Gerais, thus being more suitable for cultivation in the study region. It was also observed that the obtained data of weight of 1000 grains directly influenced the values of productive potential. |
