Resumo: The effort for quality, quantity and time is a constant in the industry, having as one of the aids, the techniques used by the Planning, Programming and Production Control sector, which strives to schedule the production with efficiency and productivity. Several models have been developed to support the production planning function, but little has been discussed about the workers' learning and forgetting when facing eventual stops in the production process. Over time, researchers have explored methods to introduce in their studies the impact of learning and forgetting on operator performance and its effect on the time to complete their work activities. With the objective of studying a model that has greater effectiveness in production planning and scheduling, the results of using the LFRCM (Learning-Forgetting-Relearning Curve Model) model were evaluated in this study, which associates operator learning and forgetting in their performance at the workstation, for the time prediction of daily unit production of chair back assembly in a furniture industry, located in the state of Paraná, Brazil, after the return from a scheduled stoppage, concluding the reliability of the application of the model by the PCP sector of the company in the production planning and the accuracy in the development of the schedule to meet the delivery deadline determined by the customers.
