Resumo: The pessary is a great alternative for the conservative treatment of female pelvic organ prolapse, a disease that affects thousands of women every year. The impossibility of performing elective surgeries due to the COVID-19 pandemic, combined with the non-supply of the equipment by the Unified Health System and its high cost in the private network, generates several social problems, which, patients who suffer from the condition, end up having their quality of life affected, both physically and mentally. In addition, the integration between biomedicine and mechanical engineering offers opportunities to provide reliable methods for studying and manufacturing these devices, especially with computer-aided design tools. In this context, a project is proposed for the computational development of a metallic mold prototype for a medium-sized silicone Donut-type pessary, in addition to carrying out an analysis of estimated costs for its manufacture.
