The research was qualitative in nature, based on document analysis and content analysis proposed by Bardin (1977). Financial education being one of the first, second and third year of high school, in the year 2021, of the full-time school institutions of paraná.The choice of document analysis is due to the fact that this curricular insertion is made official through the publication and dissemination of documents that instruct, inform and regulate the insertion of the subject in the school curriculum in this way, the research was based on these three methodological moments: the pre-analysis, aimed at data collection, the second moment of the research, the exploration of the material, was the delimitation of the classes and also of the materials that would be analyzed, initiating a reading all the material in order to identify expressions directly related to the concept of financial education and making cuts in order to extract excerpts from the material directly and indirectly associated with frequent expressions. These excerpts were categorized and gave rise to four categories of analysis, each one composed of two subcategories. “money”, composed of the subcategories: “money - concept” and “relationship between the subject and money”; “financial education” and consists of the subcategories: “what is financial education” and “for whom is financial education important; “consumption”, formed by the subcategories: “consumption: need x emotion” and “conscious consumption and consumption that results in debt” and “financial prosperity” consisting of the subcategories: “financial prosperity and its behavioral traits” and “who is financially prosperous” . The last moment was the treatment of the results, deductions, interpretations of the constructed data, based on the reasoning of the analyzed categories. After these analyzes it was found that financial education, as a curricular subject, is part of the educational context of Paraná. However, it is necessary to emphasize that the teaching materials need to improve a lot in order to provide greater support to teachers, in a more transparent way and with a more effective participation of them in the elaboration of this material. Still, financial education still has a lot to contribute within the school environment and consequently in the construction of future generations more responsible in terms of finances. Educação Financeira passou a fazer parte das escolas de Tempo Integral do Paraná em 2021, como disciplina da base curricular diversificada. Acreditando-se na importância de trazer este assunto para conhecimento e discussão, o presente trabalho busca apresentar como essa mudança educacional foi implantada e implementada, bem como discutir de uma perspectiva crítica como a Educação Financeira está sendo abordada no âmbito desta alteração curricular, por meio de análise do plano de aula e dos materiais didáticos disponibilizados pela Secretaria Estadual da Educação e Esporte do Paraná (SEED). A pesquisa foi de cunho qualitativo pautada na análise documental e análise de conteúdo proposta por Bardin(1977), Os dados foram extraídos de um conjunto de materiais (plano de aula, slides, vídeoaula e lista de exercícios) associados a três aulas da disciplina de Educação Financeira. Sendo uma do primeiro, do segundo e do terceiro ano do Ensino Médio, do ano de 2021, das Instituições Escolares Paranaenses de Tempo Integral. A escolha da análise documental ocorre pelo fato desta inserção curricular ser oficializada por meio da publicação e divulgação de documentos que instruem, informam e regulamentam a inserção da disciplina no currículo escolar.Desta forma a pesquisa foi pautada nestes três momentos a saber: a pré-análise, destinada a coleta dos dados, o segundo momento da pesquisa, a exploração do material, foi a delimitação das aulas e também dos materiais que seriam analisados, iniciando-se uma leitura de todo o material visando a identificação de expressões relacionadas diretamente ao conceito de Educação Financeira e realizando-se recortes buscando-se a extração dos excertos do material associados direta e indiretamente às expressões frequentes.Esses excertos foram categorizados e originaram quatro categorias de análise, cada uma delas composta por duas subcategorias. A “Dinheiro”,composta pelas subcategorias: “Dinheiro - conceito” e “Relação do sujeito com o dinheiro”; “Educação Financeira” e compõe-se das subcategorias: “O que é Educação Financeira” e “Para quem é importante a Educação Financeira; “Consumo”, formada pelas subcategorias: “Consumo: necessidade X emoção” e “Consumo consciente e Consumo que resulta em dívidas” e “Prosperidade Financeira” constituída das subcategorias: “Prosperidade financeira e seus traços comportamentais” e “Quem é próspero financeiramente”. O último momento foi o tratamento dos resultados, deduções, interpretações dos dados construídos, com base na fundamentação das categorias analisadas. Após as referidas análises constatou-se que a Educação Financeira, como disciplina curricular faz parte do contexto educacional paranaense. No entanto é necessário destacar que os materiais didáticos, precisam melhorar muito no sentido de fornecer maior suporte aos professores, de maneira mais transparente e com uma participação mais efetiva dos mesmos na elaboração deste material.
