Resumo: In a current context referring to the great increase in world temperature, it becomes relevant the study and search for applications that minimize the consumption of electricity in homes, destined to the air conditioning of environments. The main objective of this research was to evaluate the thermal performance of tio2 pigment in its anatase and rutile phases in the formulation of water-based acrylic paints, applied in fiber cement tiles for housing coverage. The work seeks to comparatively evaluate three paints applied in the fiber cement tiles that served as a cover for the prototypes, environments to be studied, and also to compare these environments to another that did not receive any type of treatment in its coverage. Through statistical studies conducted by Software RStudio, it was found that the average temperature of the four types of treatment were not statistically different. However, it is necessary to continue the study regarding other functionalities of titanium dioxide in its anatase phase regarding the positive impact on the environment and reinforces the importance of studies in new sustainable alternatives that show possible positive results to reduce the temperature of internal environments in order to obtain the thermal comfort of environments associated with the reduction of negative impacts to the environment.
