The modern world is characterized by consumerism, increasing the generation of solid waste, that is, growth and human development are directly linked to consumption. Due to this increase, according to ABRELPE, 29 million tons of waste produced per year end up being disposed of incorrectly. Therefore, the present work aims at the development of a power generation plant, bio-oil and biochar, through the pyrolytic processing of urban solid waste (MSW). The raw material was chosen due to the Brazilian need for adequate waste disposal, together with the lack of energy demand. With this, Phoenix Energy will be located in the city of Lorena, in the state of São Paulo, chosen because it is close to large centers of MSW generation, in addition to being close to an energy collection and distribution network. The name chosen refers to the phoenix, a mythological bird used as a representation of the organization due to the aggregation of value to the raw material. Phoenix Energy, aims to process 40 t/h of waste that will have its correct destination. The project presents the market analysis, business characteristics, industrial process, material and energy balance in addition to the specification/sizing of the equipment and the financial analysis. Through the adopted auto-thermal pyrolytic processing and energy integration, process conditions were established for 8015 KW of energy production, which guarantees a financial implementation bias, with a payback of 4 years and a break-even point of 53%. |
