In addition to soil cover, the straw deposited by the cover plants ensures nutrient cycling. Braquiaria (Brachiaria brizantha), Crotalaria (Crotalaria juncea) and buckwheat (Fagopyrum esculentum), post-soybean and post-maize (Pennisetum glaucum (L.) R. Br), Brachiaria brizantha in a randomized complete block design with four replicates. The analyzes were carried out at different times of development of the cover plants, seeking to evaluate plant height, green and dry mass of plants. All the cover plants analyzed performed well in the field. Millet showed a faster development when compared to brachiaria, crotalaria and buckwheat. It also presented higher production of dry and green mass. Millet showed a faster development when compared to brachiaria, crotalaria and buckwheat. It also had a higher production of dry and green pastry. The millet, when compared to the other cover crops evaluated, showed better after 30/04 (46 days after sowing) in relation to mass production. Buckwheat was the crop that presented better performance, initially developing faster than the others, but reaching a maximum growth point on 05/11 (57 days after sowing). The culture that presented the least impact by the previous crop was crotalaria, presenting smaller difference of mass production between the two treatments when compared to the other plants used. Brachiaria, due to its habit of growth, presented the lowest performance in the field, but it remains in the area for longer, making it possible for larger offspring. 2022-09-16T14:26:09Z 2022-09-16T14:26:09Z 2018-11-27 bachelorThesis WOLF, Bruna Amanda.
