Resumo: Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder also known as ADHD. This disorder has some very typical characteristics to be diagnosed, based on impulsivity, attention level below normal and the child's anxiety, being diagnosed only clinically. To assess a child with ADHD, there is a need to conduct an interview with the parents, in the absence of the father this interview must be done with the mother, which is called anamnesis. In this interview, data should be sought where the child's behavior or inattention is justified. Usually, this anamnesis is applied by the pedagogue or school counselor, since the child has a degree of impulsiveness, aggressiveness, inattention, a school performance below the average developed by the others. This inattention, impulsiveness and lack of interest must be demonstrated in more places besides school, because, to be diagnosed, these characteristics must be normal and frequent in any environment in which the child is, not only in the presence of parents or certain places. The tendency of ADHD is to be softened over time and the child's maturity. The methodology used for the research was the bibliographic analysis of a Case Study published by authors cited throughout the text of this TCC.
