The Covid-19 pandemic has had consequences on various areas of society and the telecommunications sector was not left out. The measures adopted to contain the spread of the disease, such as social isolation, remote work, distance learning, and several other day-to-day activities had to be adapted to this new scenario. The telecoms industry has certainly been affected by this change in consumer habits and during peak usage, traffic congestion was noticeable. This work evaluates the impacts of this period and it is also observed the previous years of the evolution of telecommunications networks that must be considered when carrying out this evaluation. |
