Resumo: From a research carried out on accessibility, it is possible to verify that a portion of the Brazilian population declares to have some type of visual impairment. Starting from theoretical supports grounded in laws, it was noticed that many legal instruments were designed and disseminated to promote the accessibility of these people, but without effective actions that promoted the real acceptance of these individuals in society. Even after years of the creation of this legislative protection, this group still moves around with difficulties of security and autonomy on the streets. With this in mind and the need for greater inclusion, this work presents the building of an accessibility device capable of guiding visually impaired people, being possible to complement the use of canes and guide dogs. The device has high-precision laser distance sensors that emit a laser invisible to the naked eye, which is reflected and returns, making the sensor able to measure with accuracy the response time and, after that, convert it to the obtained distance. In this way, the device will emit a vibration at one of its points, alternating its intensity as per the distance reading of the object in such a way as to guide people with disabilities vision in your daily activities.
