Resumo: This work aims to study the influence of the biosorption process on the pozzolanic characteristics of eucalyptus chip ash, using as a basis the requirements and procedures proposed by ABNT in relation to moisture, loss on fire, specific mass and fixed calcium hydroxide content. The pre-biosorption ash presented moisture and specific mass in accordance with the standards, but the loss on fire presented values above the allowed and the calcium hydroxide set below the standard requirement. The post-biosorption ashes, on the other hand, presented only specific mass within the requirements of the standards, with moisture and loss on fire above the allowed and calcium hydroxide content set below that established in the standard. Thus, it can be observed that dipyrone positively influenced the loss on fire factors and fixed calcium hydroxide content and negatively influenced the moisture content factor of the ash studied. When comparing the results obtained from the two types of ash, it is concluded that both do not contain the necessary characteristics to be considered a pozzolanic material, despite the potential of incorporation of these as fillers.
