Resumo: This work aimed to carry out a comparative study between different structural solutions of a mezzanine built in metallic material, varying the rigidity of its hinges, materials and structural profiles of its elements and analyzing how these aspects interfere in the distribution of efforts, weight of the structure and in its material cost. Using the precepts of the execution of a project, the premises required for the construction were defined, the dimensions and geometry are determined and the three-dimensional modeling of the structure is done. Following the specific technical standards for each aspect, the load cases and load combinations were defined, in addition to the entire mezzanine dimensioning process. After defining the final model, the member hinges were changed according to its stiffness, using rigid or flexible beam-to-column hinges. For the analysis, different structural profiles were also used: hot rolled profiles and welded profiles. The definition of the profiles was done through the software RFEM 5 which, through the design calculation according to the appropriate standard, selects the best profile for each element of the structure based on the applied loads. According to the results obtained, it was possible to evaluate the difference in the final weight of the metallic structure of the mezzanine and, through price quotations of the products of each case, analyze the cost of the construction in terms of materials used.
