Resumo: Automation of automotive functions and systems is one of industry main tendencies for the coming decades, alongside with electrification and connectivity. Furthermore, the uninterrupted seeking for optimization and cost reduction is intrinsic characteristic of this sector. The Brazilian commercial vehicles market is considered very singular if compared to the rest of the world, due to differences in legislation, road conditions and transport combinations, primarily due to larger scale usage of Bitrens and Rodotrens at highways, attribute comparable only to the Australian market. Starting from these singularities one system for automation of docking maneuvers for vehicles with 2 trailers is presented and discussed at this paper. From the mathematical modelling for virtual tests, contemplating the sensors and actuators demanded for the task and a proposal of control algorithm.
