This study aimed to assess whether an industry, located in the city of Medianeira PR, has practices that encourage its employees to preserve the environment, as well as verifying whether employees have a basic understanding of environmental issues and daily actions that contribute to a sustainable development. Bibliographical research was carried out, characterizing the industries in Brazil, the problem of dumps, a brief history of environmental legislation, environmental education and environmental education in companies. The field research was carried out within the industry through the application of a questionnaire containing questions related to the importance of environmental education; dumps; waste separation; plastic/disposable cups; company actions to minimize environmental impacts; dumpsters; individual daily actions aimed at preserving the environment; changing consumption habits; concern for future generations. Data were collected from 50 (fifty) industry employees from different sectors. It is expected that the results will contribute to foster future actions aimed at environmental education projects in the business context. |
