Resumo: The price variation of the food basket is a questionable subject of people's daily life, since it is the daily need of the Brazilian table. The economic market as a whole has many rules and natural variations controlled by supply and demand, use value or even by government. The products of the basic basket characterize a sample of the behavior of the market with respect to the price variation, that can be analyzed and contextualized to demonstrate trends based on historical results of the GPEAD and with the due vision of leaders and professionals as to the behavior of the prices, products, influence factors and others. The present work includes questionnaires for sectors of greater relevance in the commercial market, being commercial leaders, managers, representatives, supermarkets, associations of producers, EMATER, cooperatives, DERAL, etc. in cities of importance in the southwest of Paraná, such as Dois Vizinhos, Francisco Beltrao and Pato Branco, held from March 2018 to April 2019, with objective and subjective questions. Besides the importance of the economic analysis to determine moments of better commercialization, it was possible to verify that the organization of the producers that provide food is a way to increase profitability and to bring prosperous conditions to the farmers. Also the need for public policies to guarantee prices for small farmers.
