Recently, Mercosul (Southern Common Market) adopted a common plate standard that should gradually replace the plates of each of its member states. This project aimed to implement an algorithm based on Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision capable of identifying and recognizing both the new Mercosur plate standard adopted and the old Brazilian format. The objective of this work was to carry out studies focusing on the exchange of signs and to develop a web application that, together with the algorithm, can automate the parking control. For validation, a series of experiments using new and old plates were performed and the results reported. |
