Resumo: The Lizzie Bennet Diaries (2012-2013), produced in a webseries format, was an adaptation of the classic Pride and Prejudice (1813), by the English author Jane Austen. During the time the webseries aired, and even later, different platforms and media were used to compose the story, hence transforming it into a transmedia storytelling. In the main channel of the webseries, the protagonist’s vlog, it was her, Lizzie Bennet, who told the facts lived by her, showing her perspective on them. However, in the other media that created the narrative, the supporting characters also had the possibility of presenting a point of view in addition to that of the protagonist. This research aims to analyze the transposition of Pride and Prejudice point of view, written in third person making use of a free indirect discourse, to the transmedia storytelling found in the webseries The Lizzie Bennet Diaries. In the webseries the story is told mainly by a protagonist narrator, and it is expected to observe the part played by the transmedia storytelling in complementing this protagonist’s point of view. The analysis focused on four transmedia extensions of the webseries: videos from the channel The Lizzie Bennet Diaries and from the spin-off channel, The Lydia Bennet, tweets from the characters and also the book The Secret Diary of Lizzie Bennet, and in two moments of the story: when Darcy realizes his growing admiration for Elizabeth for the first time and the letter Elizabeth receives from Darcy after rejecting him. The theoretical framework of this study relies on the adaptation theory of Stam (2006), Sanders (2006) and Hutcheon (2013); the transmedia storytelling, taking as theoretical support, the works of Jenkins (2009, 2010, 2011, 2016) and Pratten (2015); and, finally, the studies by Carvalho (1981), D’onofrio (2007) and Leite (2002) regarding point of view, in addition to the work of Bulhões (2009) regarding the audiovisual point of view. From the study, it was possible to notice that there was an expansion of narrative focus in relation to the novel due to the transmedia storytelling used, and the webseries managed to brilliantly explore and recreate the story that inspired it.
