Resumo: The need for security is rising in the society, due to numerous armed conflicts, both in war situations as well as in urban conflicts. In light of this situation, a real need arises to promote physical, equipment, facilities and infrastructures protection to citizens. This research was initiated as a result of an order by the Army Command, which defined a strategic objective the implementation of three new shooting ranges in 2020 and 2021 in the states of Paraná and Santa Catarina, since the last shooting ranges construction by the Comissão Regional de Obras 5, made in 2018, is already collapsing its structures. The main goal of this research is to study the concrete with aramid blanket submitted to ballistic impact, seeking to promote a better performance for concrete structures that suffer such impact. Different types of concrete block models were made for this research: without (conventional) blanket, with internal aramid blanket and surface aramid blanket. All samples were subjected to a 7.62mm ballistic impact and analyzed by their projectile penetration depth, mass loss and thermal impact variation. It was verified that the action of the internal aramid blanket in the sample positively acts on the projectile resistance performance.
