Resumo: The Fibonacci Sequence begins to appear in Ralph Nelson Elliot's 1938 book. In it, Elliot says that the market obeys laws that make its prediction possible, laws that would be based on the theory of fractals, relating them to the sequence of Fibonacci. When one analyzes the Fibonacci numbers one perceives in them an order of events and certain human characteristics. The objective of this work is to use technical analysis, more precisely the Fibonacci sequence in stock market assets in order to analyze and discuss its effectiveness and efficiency. Therefore, this work seeks not only to bring a reference to the subject but also to technically show the probabilities of success or failure of using Fibonacci in the financial market. An asset was chosen on the Brazilian stock exchange. With the chosen asset and period, the graph was plotted to identify the waves, with the identified waves, the Fibonacci projections were drawn for each trending wave. With the traced projections, observations were made of the regions where the waves reached Fibonacci levels and showed the probability of their occurrence.
