Resumo: |
Information Architecture works in projecting, planning and structuring environments, aiming to improve the way information is organized, made available and presented, and thus favouring access, interaction and user experience. To this end, it is necessary to plan the architecture of the environment, using Information Architecture's theoretical-practical framework and its deliverables that favour the process of projecting the structuring, development, and/or maintenance of informational environments. Information Architecture's anatomy is understood in a top-down manner, which considers content, context and user in order to develop the appropriate design of an environment, and bottom-up, considering mainly content and tools to leverage it. Thus, it acts in the realm of technological solutions, while Data Architecture acts in the design of the data infrastructure and Data Life Cycle, aiming to favour data consumption by machines. This research is based on the following questions: Is Information Architecture sufficient to structure the data layer of digital informational environments? Can Data Architecture, in the context of Information Science, contribute to bottom-up Information Architecture? How does Data Architecture relate to Information Architecture? And, to answer them, we aim to investigate and understand Data Architecture in order to conceptualize it in the context of Information Science and relate it to Information Architecture. The research methodological articulation uses the quadripolar design, which allows the development of a non-linear investigation to be structured in a systematic way, allowing the research path and approach towards the object/phenomenon to determine the course of action to be followed, allowing cyclical alteration of the different research findings. As results, it presents: Concept of Data Architecture in the Context of Information Science; Triad of Data Architecture; Data Flow in Data Architecture; Operational Concept of Data; Operational Concept of Complex Data Ecology; Repositioning Pervasive Information Architecture towards Informational approach; Repositioning Complex Information Ecology towards Information Architecture. |
