Resumo: Currently, in the current business context, there is a push by external forces to seek improvements that make them competitive. In this context, companies look for smart and effective alternatives that can have a positive impact. There are internal needs that must be considered in this process of remaining in the market, one of which is People Management. One of the methods used by successful companies to leverage results is the use of Training and Development for the evolution of employees. Carvalho and Nascimento (1997) summarize training as a process that helps employees to definitely increase their efficiency in their work, using habits for thinking, knowledge, action, attitudes and skills. In this sense, the general objective of this research is to measure the impacts caused by the application of training and development in a company in the IT sector, in order to highlight the benefits of this People Management tool. For this purpose, the Action Research method was used, as the researcher participated in the application of the research. According to Engel (2000), action research is a research concept that aims to unite research with the action present in research, that is, to stimulate knowledge through theory and apply knowledge in practice, being a means of improving the understanding of the research. theory by applying research in a situation that is also a person of practice. From the results obtained, 87.5% of employees have a positive view of the use of Training and Development as a tool for personal growth and 95.6% of employees demonstrate satisfaction with the content presented in the training.
