With this, Lean Manufacturing becomes an attractive option because from it, it is possible to improve these two aspects of a production process. Seeking these improvements, this work seeks to apply the Lean Manufacturing production system in a tempered glass industry in Paraná, seeking improvements in lead time and production volume, as well as the reduction of the non-conformity rate. To this end, action research was used as a methodology in the application of several Lean principles, such as just-in-time, kanban, continuous flow, heijunka, among others. From the results obtained, it was found that revenue (per square meter) increased by 42%, production lead time was reduced by 17%, the conversion rate of raw material into finished product increased by 43%, and the amount of one of the major non-conformities was reduced by 75%, results achieved without changes in the company's work regime, proving the effectiveness of Lean Manufacturing. Atualmente, a competitividade e inovação do mercado preocupam e desafiam os gestores, trazendo atenção a métricas como qualidade e produtividade. Com isso, o Lean Manufacturing torna-se uma opção atrativa pois a partir dela é possível melhorar esses dois aspectos de um processo produtivo. Buscando essas melhorias, este trabalho busca aplicar o sistema de produção Lean Manufacturing em uma indústria de vidros temperados no Paraná, buscando melhoras no lead time e volume produtivos, assim como a redução do índice de não conformidades. Para tanto, utilizou-se como metodologia a pesquisa-ação na aplicação diversos princípios Lean, como o just-in-time, kanban, fluxo contínuo, heijunka, entre outros. Dos resultados obtidos, constatou-se que o faturamento (por metro quadrado) teve um aumento de 42%, o lead time de produção foi reduzido em 17%, a taxa de conversão de matéria-prima em produto finalizado aumentou em 43%, e a quantidade de uma das principais não-conformidades foi reduzida em 75%, resultados alcançados sem alterações no regime de trabalho da empresa, comprovando a eficácia do Lean Manufacturing. 2023-02-23T20:55:22Z 2023-02-23T20:55:22Z 2022-10-21 bachelorThesis GARCIA, João Felipe Cadore; SILVA, Vitor Hugo Ramos Rodrigues.
