The growing increase in the number of vehicles leads to increased congestion in large cities, directly impacting the population's routine. Many cities have a saturated traffic situation, in which there are not many alternatives for the resolution of this effect. A large part of the time that drivers are stuck in traffic is due to traffic lights that work continuously with a fixed time, regardless of the amount of vehicle flow. With this, the Intelligent Traffic Light Control uses Fuzzy Logic to minimize congestion at peak hours and enable traffic flow. Its operation is able to adapt according to the amount of vehicle flow on each road. The work aims to analyze the efficiency of the system using Fuzzy Logic obtained by MATLAB software and simulate through the SUMO software with real data from two intersections with high flow of vehicles in the city of Maringa making the comparison of the intersection with fixed time traffic lights and traffic lights using the Intelligent Control of Fuzzy Logic. |
