Resumo: Entropy is the number of possible combinaions of particulas that make up a system and that are compatible with the state of that system. It’s a subject that should be presented to the student in the second year of high school, which is a little explored branch of thermodynamics, and often presents a vague concept related toparameters suchas ordem, disorder andrandmness. In addition to it, teachers search for knowledge in the books, so that it will be transmitted to their students through the transposition of subject. The central objective of this project is to analyze how textbooks present the concept of entropy. It is proposed, therefore, to analyze how the books approach this content and how it is presented through pictures and examples. From this point of view, it can be seen that this subject ends up being little explored, and they try to relate it to the student's everyday life but without using its real meaning, bringing about incongruous and erroneous ideas.
