Resumo: The present work consists of using the unified model of product development process to design and 3D printing to manufacture an educational toy prototype with a learning path that aims to apply the STEAM Approach effectively, enabling children aged 6 to 12 years concrete, active, investigative, transdisciplinary, collaborative and reflective learning of concepts of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics together with the integral development of the children in question, being a marketable, safe and fun toy option to they. This initiative was motivated by the lack of resources available in the market that actually use the STEAM Approach in a correct, indepth and meaningful way, toys that stimulate the child's creativity, imagination and autonomy, and also by the educational demand for active and interesting ways of learn and teach, both verified during the author's participation in the extension project Mobile Laboratory for Teaching Engineering and Active Teaching Methodologies. After the development and manufacture of the first prototype, a group of children was responsible for testing it, at which time evaluations were made, to enable optimizations in the prototype and another test, digital, until the conclusion was reached that the prototype was approved, its development process was carried out successfully, both in terms of product development and in terms of applying concepts from the Mechanical Engineering graduation, and, finally, in the conclusion that it is, indeed, possible to learn by playing.
