Resumo: Common bean culture is the second most cultivated legume in Brazil, being of great prominence for being a source of protein, and the state of Paraná is the main producer of this species. This work aims to identify the best growing season for beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.), evaluating a possible interaction between cultivars and also estimating yield components. The project was implemented at UTFPR - Campus Dois Vizinhos in the experimental area. The duration period was from September 29, 2018 to May 23, 2019, with four planting seasons, two in each harvest. The experiment was carried out in a randomized block design with 3 replications, for the analysis the 4x3 bifactorial experiment will be considered, with factor A being the seasons (first season implemented in September and second season implemented in October 2018, third season implemented in January and fourth and last season implanted in February, both in 2019) and factor B the cultivars (IPR Uirapuru, IPR Campos Gerais e IPR Tangará). Evaluation of the productive profile, weight of a thousand grains, number of grains, number of pods, number of grains per pod and final productivity were made, comparing the performance of cultivars and evaluating the seasons for such. We can emphasize that the Campos Gerais variety had the highest productivity among the others, thus obtaining that the best growing season would be the first (September). There was variation in each sowing season that the cultivars were sown, proving that the September season (first crop) was the one with the highest productivity and consequently the worst sowing season was February (second crop), showing that the Campos Gerais variety had higher performance among most yield components, and the Uirapuru variety had a higher number of grains per pod.
