Resumo: Environmental issues are longstanding concerns in the social, economic and educational context. Discussions about the environmental problem in the educational context can occur through the use of media resources such as cinema. Cinema and education establish a long-standing didactic-pedagogical relationship. In this sense, this work consists of promoting awareness about environmental education in an interdisciplinary way, through the film “Avatar 2 – The Way of Water” in the teaching process. The general objective is to analyze the emotions set in the film, in an interdisciplinary way for the elaboration of didactic activities, so that teachers can use them in their classes on environmental education. Question: How to promote awareness about environmental education in an interdisciplinary way through the film Avatar 2 for the teaching process in high school? The research is qualitative through Content Analysis (CA), using scenes as a data collection instrument, parts that relate to Biology content, from a critical perspective. After selecting the scenes, we produced a guide for use in the classroom by teachers. The results showed that 3 categories emerged whose contents can be worked on in High School, namely: Evolution: A Concept beyond Appearances; Ecology: An encounter with EE; Biological Diversity and EE. Based on the content presented in the film, it will serve as the basis for the creation of Biology classes, with interdisciplinary characteristics. bringing a bias to EE, which aims to raise awareness and address content related to evolution, ecology and biological diversity intertwining with aspects of culture, based on the use of educational approaches
