Resumo: This project proposes to reflect on the issue of books, print and digital, regarding the consumption and reading of these as physical products and also with regard to reading. It also seeks to analyze the reading practices of a group of university students, from the context of Cyberculture. Based on the bibliographic review of authors such as Compagnon (2010), Chartier (1999), Darnton (2009), Poe (2011) e Lipovetsky (2015) it talks about themes like the theory of reception, the history and future of the book, the Cyberculture, among others. To do so, it is used data analysis gathered from some research: quantitative and qualitative, all carried out in the second half of 2016 with university students from the communication and arts areas of an institution in Curitiba, Paraná, through an elective discipline focused on the discussion of literature, cyberculture and other related subjects. The results show that the young university student still reads printed books and although he often does so only out of necessity, he finds pleasure in this activity, which also has a lot to do with building his identity in real life and on the internet.
