Resumo: The electrical installation of the mechanical workshop that is the object of this work presents several problems resulting from its advanced age. Among these problems we can mention: sockets with inadequate standards, lack of protection devices, lack of an adequate grounding system, insufficient number of sockets, old materials, poor interior lighting, etc. These problems, in addition to reducing the usability of the installation, can also endanger the safety of people who attend the workshop and the equipment present in it. With the solution of these problems in mind, a new electrical project was proposed for the installation, following the determinations and recommendations of the most important standards applied to low voltage electrical installations and work environment lighting. In addition, a microgeneration system project was also proposed, which will lead to savings in the electricity bill in the future. Finally, the new electrical project has a high level of safety and versatility, as well as being more sustainable and economical thanks to microgeneration.
