Resumo: |
This study made a general overview of the literature on the findings regarding the linguistic influences of talian, a variant of the Venetian language, on Brazilian Portuguese, considering the presence of descendants from the Veneto region in the states of Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Paraná, and Espírito Santo, through previous studies. The exchange of "j" for "z" in words like "janta" and the substitution of "ão" for "ón" in words like "botijão" are examples of this influence. The objectives included the analysis of evidence of phonetic phenomena in Brazilian Portuguese, understanding these influences, historical and social relationships among talian-speaking communities. Additionally, the study addressed issues of linguistic prejudice faced by the Venetian community in Brazil. The theoretical framework encompassed research on language interaction, history, sociolinguistics, and cultural preservation. Various authors, such as Miazzo (2011), Loregian-Penkal (2020), Spesatto (2021), among others, contributed to the understanding of these dynamics. The results highlighted the presence of characteristic phonetic traits of talian in Brazilian Portuguese in regions such as Cachoeiro de Itapemirim-ES, Chapecó-SC, Colombo-PR, and other cities or communities. Furthermore, the work emphasized the importance of preserving minority languages as part of Brazil's cultural heritage, contributing to the appreciation of linguistic diversity in the country. |
