This study had as the aim to identify the 2014 FIFA World Cup legacy in Brazil in the categories of Tourist Development, Urban Mobility, and Stadiums. The research of a documental nature classifies as exploratory and qualitative, being the analisys of the results made by descriptive statistics. The accomplishment of this mega event is only possible with the involvement of the Government of a State because of the special conditions required. The governamental engagement was justified by the promise to invest in the accomplishment of the World Soccer, offer work and actions which after the competition would continue being use of the population, improving the quality in several categories of work and services. It was analysed the categories of Tourist Development, Urban Mobility, and Stadiums taken from a set of twelve, gathered in a plan of investments called "Cup Responsibilities Matrix. " The reached results got to the conclusion that there wasn't the delivery of a legacy as it had been promised at the first plans. The contribution of this study is in the analysis ot the relation among the sport organizations, Governments, and the conditions that both need to build for the accomplishment of sport mega events. |
