Nowadays the technology management and innovations (TIM) are the distinguishing for success and accelerated growth for companies. Well administrated technologies may become much more efficient and effective in all processes and used resources, besides the increase of vision for future that allow the possible innovation forecasting and in this way being ahead of its competitors. Given the importance that, the present work aims to identify the main processes of technology innovation of products in the food industry in Ponta Grossa region. It was possible to cover seven large and medium food industries, which are very representative in region as throughout Brazil and even abroad. The methodology used was a multicaso study where a semistructured interview was applied as a search tool containing ten open questions and two questionnaires which were applied together as a support directly or indirectly to the responsible for the Research and Development area of the company. It was possible to characterize the process of TIM as a governed process by the market, considered important for a systematic development of new products. In managers staff research view, in general all practices of TIM collaborate for an improvement in the management of activities and persons. But management projects, creating teams and management interface were considered practices where occurs greater participation from all areas and an effective transference of knowledge and information with ideas for improvements, either in the product, process or service, thus making more innovative company. The fact of the surveyed industries are very expressive companies, whether in national or international markets, make results more significant and relevant both for scientific research and for the organizations development which desire new information and knowledge about the processes of TIM. |
