This project‟s main goal is to confront, through research, the existent theoretical referential as for the expected benefits and problems spotted over the implementation of ERP system on big companies and the expected benefits and problems spotted on small Brazilian companies. The method applied to carry out the research was, thus, inductive. The research is characterized by its nature as applied research and as its objective of being descriptive using an explanatory core and quantitative focus approach, being the collected data used a technical procedure and the questionnaire as a research tool. The environment in which such research was conducted is that of micro and small Brazilian companies, being a sample of 69 companies used. The theoretical referential approached the concepts and classifications of information technology, the historical of ERP systems, its concepts and main characteristics, as well as the expected benefits and spotted problems over its implementation, the organizational decision-wise and individual factors which characterize the micro and small companies and their relevant role within Brazilian economy. The collected data was graphed with the use of Microsoft Excel 2007 and Phstat2 as for the statistical processing. The results found on the research depict enough evidences to sustain that the expected benefits and spotted problems over the implementation of ERP systems in big companies are not utterly the same when it comes down to implementing them on small Brazilian companies. |
