Resumo: This research aims to evaluate the influence of the adoption of creativity techniques in the innovation process in a company of the metalworking industry. Specifically, it is intended to verify how many and which creativity techniques are formally or informally used in the Company, subject of this research, and identify how many and what innovations were produced, and present the results of the innovations produced in the company, which originated from the adoption of creativity techniques. Finally, to evaluate the results investigated. For this reason, the study was conducted with a large organization, having as a main characteristic the innovation in its products. The information was obtained through questionnaires and semi-structured interviews with the manager in charge for the coordination of Product Development. The research, an exploratory-descriptive study with a predominantly qualitative and quantitative approach, used the case study as the method of procedure. The results showed that, from the 190 (one hundred ninety) creativity techniques presented, the manager has knowledge and experience on 67 (sixty seven), but for every innovative product only two (02) techniques are effectively used: Brainstorming and Nominal Group Technique. The type of influence that creativity techniques carry over innovation results is perceived by the amount of new products generated annually, an average of 03 (three). It was observed that the manager has knowledge on the theme of the research presented, and is aware of the results obtained by using together with his team the creativity techniques to generate new products or solve problems.
