Moreover, work provides the man with rich experiences, skills and the competency to apply them into a productive reality. Thus, work is part of the process of human development, directly reflecting in the interpersonal relationships, in its selfknowledge, in its intellectual growth and in its financial movement. In addition to providing gratification, work ensures the survival of the human being. The environment in which work usually occurs in society is inside the organization. These organizations or companies are concerned with production and technical efficacy, but they also must include reasons related to social relations, or the social world of work. The act of working is not only to perform productive functions, but also to provide the coexistence and the development of subjectivity. Therefore, work occupies an essential place in the life of the individual, being part of the construction of the whole individual. In this context, the workers who drive a bus for a living play a vital role in the transport of passengers within a certain area. The bus driver must also obey a series of rules and technical procedures, and could possibly expose themselves to a variety of occupational and psychological hazards. The study analyzed the meaning of the work for the bus drivers of urban collective transportation in Curitiba, Brazil. A qualitative, constructive-interpretive approach was used in a dialogical way between researcher and researched, reconciling with the self-confrontation method of Yves Clot. The level of analysis addressed in this research was at the organizational level, the locus will include a public transportation company in Curitiba and the unit of analysis were drivers of bi-articulated buses. The present study contemplated the use of primary and secondary data; the primary data were collected through interviews, photos, recordings and films, integrating the process of self-confrontation and observation Script with the purpose of solving the research problem. The secondary data were collected from the documents of the transportation company and from other credible departments. The study revealed that the main meanings of the work that emerged from the research with Curitiba urban collective transport drivers are related to the liking of the activity they perform; basic survival needs; to the personal satisfaction, to the centrality that assumes that the work demands a high level of responsibility with the organization; the relationship between work and family, the relationship between work and peers, the relationship between work and society, and the need to feel useful in the development of the activity. A realização do trabalho faz parte da rotina do homem em sociedade, implica em esforços, gasto com energia física e mental e satisfaz necessidades. Ademais, o trabalho proporciona ao homem ricas experiências, habilidades e competências, inserindo-o na realidade produtiva. Dessa forma, participa do processo de desenvolvimento humano, refletindo de forma direta nas relações interpessoais, em seu autoconhecimento, em seu crescimento intelectual e em seu movimento financeiro, assegura a sobrevivência do ser humano, além de proporcionar satisfação. O ambiente em que comumente o trabalho se dá na sociedade é em organizações. A organização do trabalho preocupa-se com a produção e eficácia técnica, porém, deve inserir razões relacionadas ao convívio, ou seja, ao mundo social do trabalho. O ato de trabalhar não é apenas desempenhar funções produtivas, ele também proporciona convivência e o desenvolvimento da subjetividade. Assim, o trabalho ocupa lugar essencial na vida dos indivíduos, fazendo parte da construção do sujeito. Nesse contexto, o trabalhador que ocupa a função de motorista de ônibus realiza tarefa vital, transportando passageiros dentro de uma determinada área, obedecendo uma série de normas, procedimentos técnicos e expondo-se a uma enorme variedade de riscos ocupacionais e psicológicos. O estudo analisou o sentido do trabalho para os motoristas de ônibus do transporte coletivo urbano de Curitiba. Foi utilizada uma abordagem qualitativa, de caráter construtivo-interpretativo de forma dialógica entre pesquisador e pesquisado, conciliando com o método da autoconfrontação de Yves Clot. O nível de análise abordado nessa pesquisa foi o nível organizacional, o locus contemplará uma empresa do transporte coletivo urbano de Curitiba e, a unidade de análise foram motoristas dos ônibus biarticulados. O presente estudo contemplou a utilização de dados primários e secundários, sendo que os primários serão coletados por meio de entrevistas, gravações e filmagens, compondo o processo da autoconfrontação e roteiro de observação, com a finalidade de responder ao problema de pesquisa e, os dados secundários foram coletados por meio de documentos da empresa de transporte e de outros órgãos competentes. O estudo revelou que que os principais sentidos do trabalho que emergiram da pesquisa com os motoristas do transporte coletivo urbano de Curitiba, estão relacionados ao gostar da atividade que realizam; às necessidades básicas de sobrevivência; à satisfação pessoal, à centralidade que presume que o trabalho requisite alto nível de responsabilidade com a organização; a relação do trabalho com a família, a relação do trabalho com os pares, a relação do trabalho com a sociedade e a necessidade de sentir-se útil no desenvolvimento da atividade. 2019-02-26T19:27:58Z 2019-02-26T19:27:58Z 2018-08-17 masterThesis TORRES, Mariã Aparecida Santos.
