Resumo: |
In this work, several temperature sensors were produced and encapsulated using fiber optic Bragg grating (FBG). FBGs were written in the infrared band using standard telecommunication single mode optical fiber (G-652). The fiber used does not undergo pre-treatment in the production of standard FBG and undergoes a previous hydrogenation process to produce regenerated fiber Bragg grating (RFBG). In the process of producing RFBG we use heat treatment at 850ºC and the resulting gratings can be applied in long time measurements at temperatures lower than that of regeneration. FBGs and RFBGs were encapsulated with ceramic material alumina (Al2O3) and stainless steel to facilitate application as a sensor. A comparative study of thermal sensitivity for different capsules and compared with non-encapsulated optical fiber was done. |
