Resumo: The present study aimed at the valuation of construction and demolition residues (RCD), in the production of decorative plates, with the incorporation of gypsum (KG) and kraft waste in paste and / or mortar (gypsum or mixed). Firstly, the raw material and the residues used were collected and treated, which were submitted to characterization tests such as: specific mass; granulometric composition; unit mass; chemical composition (FRX); thermal analysis (DT and DTG) and microstructural (MEV). Based on these data the mix of the pastes and mortars was carried out: with incorporation of RG in natura and kraft paper for the pilot study; and, RG calcined at different temperatures and firing times, for the final study. The pilot study included the preparation of 1: 3: 2 and 1: 3: 3 mixed mortar proportions (cement: small aggregate: RG in natura), with kraft residues contents of 0, 2.5 and 5% , on the mass of cement. In the final study, the RG calcined at 140oC, 160oC and 180oC, was subjected to calcination times of 4 and 6 hours in the production of gypsum pastes and mortars. The analyzed pastes were produced with 100% calcined RG, totaling six mixtures. The mortars were made in the proportion 0: 3: 2 and 0: 3: 3 (cement: small aggregate: calcined RG). For both studies (pilot and final), the mortars and pastes produced were submitted to the fresh state tests (consistency and specific mass) and hardened state (compressive strength, flexural tensile strength, dynamic modulus of elasticity, density and water absorption by capillarity). 3D plates were also manufactured for aesthetics analysis. The results of the pilot study showed a decrease in compressive strength in all mortars made of cement that received RG "in natura" and Kraft. In the final study, it was observed that the production of pastes with 100% of calcined RG at the temperatures of 140 ° C, 160 ° C and 180 ° C for 6 hours, obtained results of compressive strength and flexural traction superior to 100% of stucco gympsum (commercial gypsum). With the results obtained it can be proved the feasibility of the production of decorative plaques using the in natura and calcined RG. The environmental importance of the study is also verified, taking into account the use of up to 100% of RG in the production of civil construction materials, without impairing the mechanical and aesthetic properties.
