The present assignment is aimed at discussing the curriculum of the Basic Mathematics Education, especially in what it refers to the Euclidean geometry. The research began with the training of the teachers from the initial grades for a period of three (3) years, in the educational school Educativa Centro Educacional in Ourinhos - SP, starting from their concerns and difficulties in understanding and teaching geometry to the students in an efficient way . From these problems, were carried out analyses of the geometry of Basic Education proposed by the National Curricular Parameters and the Brazilian Society of Mathematics, with the objectives of mapping the distribution of geometry contents. Activities were applied to the students of the 6th grade of the II Elementary School and to the students of the second grade of High School, in order to analyse the answers obtained and to verify the existing gaps of the contents of geometry that permeate these levels of education. Observing and punctuating the difficulties, so as to ensure the improvement of teaching geometry is proposed a curriculum that distributes the contents in a different way, valuing its constructions and making them meaningful for the students. |
