Resumo: The goal of this work is to determine a relationship between the study of plane and space geometry with the linear optimization theory, through the convexity theorems, in order to contribute to the learning of contents taught in class, with a focus for the final years of High School. For that, the study and application of linear optimization in the cutting process of packaging and the study of geometry (area and volume) for the sizing of these packages are proposed, providing students a global vision of possibilities for mathematics applications in various knowledge areas, emphasizing the importance of such knowledge for the appropriated packaging size and contributing to the costs reduction and materials waste.
