Since the technological evolution, the Internet emerges as a new form of communication through the connection of several computers and becoming an apparently inexhaustible source of information besides enabling the use of e-mail and, thus, also allowing communication with images and sound in real time. In this context, the library which has information as main product, started making use of this technology that brought improvement to its service due to the fact that information became available in a much shorter time. Therefore, this paper has the objective of
checking the degree of satisfaction of the students after the implementation of the
Pergamum system at the Federal University of Technology Paraná, Campo Mourão Campi. The descriptive method was used since the data collecting and analysis allowed a description of the student opinions in relation to the new system. Results show that the system was effective since information has been easily retrieved and used. The use of the library has become more efficient. It has also caused an
impact on students and employees who needed to face new behaviour patterns. |
