Resumo: Solar power is one of the most promissing sources of heat and light, being utilized in many different ways across the history, and, most recently, to generate electrical energy by the photovoltaic effect. In Brazil, sinde the beginning of the normative resolution nº 482 of the National Agency of Electrical Energy (ANEEL), in 2012, the grid connected photovoltaic systems have been the primary source of power for the distributed generation projects, therefor, the knowledge of the steps for the correct design and installation of grid connected photovotaic systems is fundamental for the cientific community, as well as for engineers and other professional that work on this field. With the goal of enhancing the knowledge of the installation of grid connected photovoltaic systems, this paper details the processes of the project to install four different photovoltaics cells technologies in six UTFPR câmpus spread in Paraná state, organizing them based on the PMBOK® methodology. Beginning with the conception phase of the project until the final equipment specification that were sent to the market for tendering, through the intermediate steps such as panels and inverters technical specifications and each câmpus shadowing analysis. In the sequence, the paper addresses questions regarding the execution of the works and installation of the photovoltaic equipment, pointing the standards procedures followed and the solutions to the issues that appeared during this phase of the project. Lastly, the previous results obtained during the commissioning and operation of the system are presented, with the objective of proving the correct installation and functioning of the photovoltaic systems. The data provided by the inverters are alligned with the values calculated previously on the project, taking into consideration the climatic conditions in the moment of the measurement, such as possible variations of the temperature and it’s effect on the photovoltaic module. The conclusion discourse about the project importance, not only for the cities that will count with the evaluation modules, but for the whole Parana state and Brazil.
