In Brazil, sport and leisure are social rights guaranteed to all citizens by the Federal Constitution, but the access to these rights for people with disabilities is still restricted. Given this scenario, the objective of the research is to analyze the accessibility and inclusion of people with disabilities in four Sports and Leisure Centers in the city of Curitiba. The methodology of this study is classified from the point of view of nature as an applied research; from the point of view of the objectives as exploratory and descriptive, for the technical procedures, case studies were used – a cases, and as sources of information we opted for the bibliographical, documentary and field research. The analyzes related to accessibility were based on the parameters and criteria of ABNT NBR 9050/2015 and current legislation. The spaces evaluated were: external circulation, parking, internal circulation, vertical circulation, furniture, toilets and physical-sports spaces. Regarding the analysis of the inclusion of people with disabilities in these equipments, semi-structured interviews were conducted with the managers and the application of questionnaires for all teachers. The results show that no Sports and Leisure Center is fully accessible, but the lack of accessibility is not the only factor that prevents inclusion. The lack of training by the teachers, the shortage of adequate sports equipment and the absence of attitudinal barriers were other conditions found that could interfere in the inclusion process. Finally, it was found that the lack of a comprehensive and efficient public policy significantly interferes with the participation of people with disabilities in sports and leisure activities. |
