This work aimed to study the recycling of construction waste and demolition and conducting field research to survey on the recycling method applied at the recycling plant in Campo Mourão city, identification of various materials belonging to the dump beds, demolitions and renovations; verification of
materials received by the recycling industry and its destination; survey of the products generated through the recycled materials and identification of areas of irregular deposition of RCD’s. The existing plant in this municipality performs its daily receipt of buckets with materials already predetermined separation and proper disposal of these materials and sporadically, crushing, extracting the gravel first, a product currently used in graveling. The crushing in done consistently due to: lack of demand for the product extracted by customers; high cost to maintain this activity and low financial return. The irregular areas of deposition within the city limits are many, which were e cited only a few such as public parks and vacant lots. These wastes are deposited with no criteria and end up being an attraction for other wastes, including some contaminants that contribute to the spread of disease, and cause a major visual pollution, negative social and environmental degradation. |
