Resumo: Heterocyclic compounds constitute an important class due to their possible biological applications. Chromones, a class of heterocycles having oxygen as the ring heteroatom, have promising properties since they can be used as a starting material for the synthesis of more complex compounds and biomarkers, and because they present a wide range of applicabilities in the pharmacological area. Due to this, the description of the synthesis of chromones is recurrent in the literature, through procedures that use methodologies that are used of catalysts of high cost, toxic solvents and high temperatures. Thus, in order to contribute to the development of greener methodologies and also to synthesize compounds with pharmacological potential, the first part of the present work describes a methodology for the synthesis of chromones containing the selenium atom that is in the ring of too many biologically active molecules. Already in the second part, an in silico study with six molecules of 3- selenochromones is carried out, in which the possibilities of using them as binders of the human estrogen beta receptor and the adenosine receptors are discussed.
