Resumo: This work presents comparative evaluation of mechanical properties and productivity of three types of mortar for laying ceramic block and building block, one of these mortars a new constructive method grounded in polymers, focusing on the cities of Campo Mourão and Maringá, Paraná. Concepts on properties desirable for laying mortars, definitions of types and kinds of mortar blocks, as well as traces of use in mortar according to its uses. Brings as a result of mechanical evaluations laying mortars under study and also illustrates data on productivity and financial viability of the settlement of masonry using cement mortar or non-polymeric, mortar and mortar prepared in industrial work.
