This report presents a study of the mechanical strength of four mortars used in the repair of concrete structures. The mechanical properties (compressive strength, tensile strength and modulus of elasticity) of the mortars were experimentally determined. Furthermore, samples of intact concrete and samples of damaged concrete repaired with the mortars where tested according to the procedures of the reconstituted prism test. The average compressive strength obtained for mortars was very close to that provided by the catalogs of manufactures. The results of the repaired prism tests proved the efficiency of the mortars in the recuperation of the samples. |
