This work presents the development of spreadsheets for the calculation of the temperature evolution in steel profiles under fire using Microsoft Excel and VBA. The temperature calculation in steel profiles is based on the simplified calculation procedures available in the Brazilian ABNT NBR 14323:2013. The developed application automates the calculation procedures of temperature evolution through a fast and efficient computational process and with a simple interface and intuitive for use. The results provided by the application can be used as basis for the design of steel elements under fire situation. |
